About BRCT Iasi

Regional Office for Cross-border Co-operation Iasi pentru Granita Romania-Republica Moldova (BRCT Iasi) is a non-governmental organisation, created by the association of the two regional development agencies in the border area of Romania and the Republic of Moldova: North-East Regional Development Agency and South-East Regional Development Agency.

BRCT Iasi is active in the field of regional development and cross-border cooperation, contributing to the promotion of cooperation between regions, communities and authorities located on either side of the Romania-Moldova border.

In the 2004-2006 programming period, BRCT Iasi was the implementing authority for the Romania - Republic of Moldova Neighbourhood Programme 2004 - 2006, Phare CBC components 2004, 2005 and 2006, monitoring approximately 180 projects implemented in the Romania - Republic of Moldova cross-border area, with a total value of approximately 31 million Euro.

In the 2007-2013 programming period, BRCT Iasi hosts, together with the Regional Office for Cross-border Cooperation Suceava (BRCT Suceava), the Joint Technical Secretariat for the Romania - Ukraine - Republic of Moldova Joint Operational Programme 2007 - 2013, funded by the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument.

Currently, BRCT Iasi is involved in the programming activities for the period 2014-2020, with the aim of elaborating the new cross-border cooperation programme Romania - Republic of Moldova.
